My own backyard

I am so blessed to have an incredible backyard. One of my husband's passions is landscaping and that works in great partnership for what I do. He creates beautiful areas that just wait for me to explore and find their beauty. Sometimes the beauty lies in the lush greeness of the grass and vines as a backdrop for colorful flowers. It's like stepping into another world when I take a Senior or family out to be photographed. It certainly doesn't feel like Southeastern NM! Enjoy these shots in our paradise.

And then there are my special "doors". I went to a photography convention with 3 other photographers and we found a great place in downtown Ft. Worth with LOADS of antiques for great prices. We bought so many large items that we rented a small U-Haul. that was a fun phone call to our husbands. When I got home, my husband thought he was going to have to scrape paint and re-finish my "treasures". I told me no way. I LOVED the doors like they are--and so has everyone else. There are limitless ways to use them and it's fun to be creative with the Senior's clothing and the doors. What a great, simple backgrop for some very cool portraits.

Okay, this wasn't in my backyard but this is one my very FAVORITE images.
