Sweet Families and dear friends

I had the privilege of photographing my pastor and his wife and it confirmed that love prevails, whether you are married 30 years or 13 or 60. They are so good together and compliment each other in their gifts and talents. He is a visionary and a great communicator in the pulpit. He brings life to "sermons" so that through his original "illustrated sermons", the lesson is unforgettable. She is the original people person and makes each person feel like someone very special. They were fun and stretched my creativity to capture their personalities and do something fresh and different for their blogs and website. Then I photographed this precious young family and laughed the whole time. The kids are so fun and cute. Once, Camden told Pastor Ty "That's what I'm talking about!". It was easy photography--I just kept shooting while they played and oh did their personalities shine.
Check out Kaitlyn, unprompted, giving her daddy a kiss, while big brother rolls his eyes! Adorable!

Gotta Love 'em--Little kids part II

Just can't get enough of the little ones. The little boy with the big football is Camon. I've known his parents for most of their lives and photographed them in LHS sports. Camon was so proud of his family and you can see how he loves his mommy and daddy. It was a fun sitting with their bright Texas Longhorn gear (I'm a Texas Tech Red Raider!) and lot of fun shots.

Then, there are those beautiful eyes, sleeping angels, and curious little boys. Twins boy and girl were absolutely adorable and such individuals. She was very shy and he was explring everything, including the ballons.

Prom 2009

Well, the big night has come and gone. After months of planning, and hours of getting hair, nails, and makeup done, everyone looked exceptionally gorgeous (girls) and handsome (guys). What beautiful dresses and in so many awesome colors. And the tux and vest were coordinated to match the girl's dress perfectly--amazing . We had a fun night here at my studio. It was relaxed and I got to visit with the prom go-ers, and we did some fun shots. Some of the moms came along to enjoy the experience as well. Yeah moms!
Some of the guys played 2 baseball games THAT day and still made it on time. They are all probably still seeing white flashes after so many pictures at home, here, and at prom. But that's what makes prom fun--taking ALL those photos. For some, it was the first prom. For others, it was the last. Great memories for PROM 2009. Thanks for letting me be a part of your big night. And I got to bed at a decent hour. Hooray!

Bella's Easter

I have to share with you these sweet photos of our sweet Bella and her first Easter. Her mommy and daddy took these and did a great job. Every new photo makes me miss her so much. What a smile and those big eyes. We are all blessed by her coming into the world. God is good! It's so fun sharing photos of her with everyone that comes in to the studio. My friends who are grandparents are so patient to look at my photos and let me gush over her. Can't help it!

By the way, PROM is this weekend. I'm NOT doing photos at prom, but I am doing pictures here at my studio. YOU HAVE TO HAVE AN APPOINTMENT. I do have a few times left. I'd love to have you. Give me a call 396.2077.

Little kids--gotta love 'em

MEET THE CLASS OF 2021

Last week, I photographed 3, 4, and 5 year olds at Mother Goose preschool. Sandy and I have been working together for MANY years and wish we'd written down the funny things the little kids have said. You never know what they will reveal! When asked about their favorite pizza, I've learned that there is macaroni pizza or "I don't like pizza at all!". Once I asked a little boy if his daddy had stinky feet, and he said "Yes, when he comes home from the drilling rig and takes his shoes off!". They are experts about Sponge Bob and Dora the Explorer, and Spider Man. Sometimes, they won't say anything, and then there are those who won't quit talking.
Imagine, thirteen 4 year olds, each with a blue cap and gown, with a tassle that moves back and forth--A LOT, especially when they move their head. Put them in one photo for a group photo and heads are moving and caps are sliding off, and hands are moving and bodies are wiggling--and there you have it: the perfect storm! That's when I bring out my funny puppet or my yellow magic tickle feather (a glorified feather dust that's never seen dust). I tickle them each once on the face and race back to my camera, then start to come back to them, and--MAGIC--the smiles on all faces with all eyes on me--ALL AT THE SAME TIME. It was fun and I laughed a lot. So enjoy their sweet faces. They are future Eagles and Wildcats and who knows what else!
