Senior Guys and their toys

This is Derek and his pride and joy. I enjoyed that his dad came to his sitting and they told me about this car and how they had worked on it together. They've taken long trips in it. It was a very cool car. I was impressed.

I love Nathan's hot pink pick-up. (I'm from Texas where we can them "pickups" not "trucks".) His dad washed and detailed it so it'd be nice and shiny for the pictures. Then I had him drive it right up on our lawn (Mr. Hogue said I could) and we had a nice background for it. Very cool!

Since Christmas, I've photographed a lot of Senior boys. They need to wait until after football season so January is a great month. I also have had a blast shooting guys with their vehicles, which are very important to them. It's so much fun to see them burst with pride about their ride or show off their athletic side. Every Senior is an individual and I try hard to capture that in their portraits. Take a look!

Justin had a "cowboy" side and his baseball side. He was a great sport about whatever idea I had. I love that the glove and ball are his.

Cooper was standing waiting for me to get ready for the next photo, and was tossing the football back and forth in his hands. I started snapping photos and got some fun things, and very natural looks. Great year Cooper!

Matt and Ralph love their sports and showed off their state rings--Matt with baseball and Ralph with track, and of course, both love football. Great athletes and great guys. They were so fun and Ralph kept me laughing the entire time. Don't be fooled--guys like to look as good in their photos as girls do. Way to go guys.

Then there's Nathan and David (Guz). How fun were they?! I've taken Nathan's photos for years so he had that great smile ready for me. He had a great year on the football field. We got some great shots with the football stuff, and then outdoors. What a great guy!

and then there's the gentle giant--"Guz". I'd taken his photos all season from the sidelines and loved it. The thing I remember most was the game that he came out of nowhere and hit his opponent on the far side of the south end zone and you could hear the CRACK everywhere! Way to go!! He was so shy in front of my camera but I got some great photos of him looking tough and --well--gentle. When he saw his images, he grinned from ear to ear. Yeah!!!

Other guys are talented in other areas and excel there. Colt was in Mr. Hogue's 4th grade class so we've watched him grow up also. He looked great in his Key Club shirt and brought his athletic jacket--full of Key Club pins from everywhere. He was a blast. We ended the session with his signature look--shorts, tee-shirt, and knit cap. Awesome!

Let's not forget the girls!!!! Band, sports, whatever--they can do it all as well as the guys. Bianca gave me this classic look for a one-of-a-kind portrait with her guitar and a little of my special effects. Beautiful!!! She is beautiful inside and out.

Beth did the same gorgeous moment for my camera and I treasure this image of her. These images do happen all the time--I try--but sometimes everything just falls in to place and I capture it. Beth is so talented and looked beautiful for her portraits. It was my honor to photograph her.

Meet Jennie Pearson--Athlete Superb from Eunice. This girl is good at it all--athletics, academics and personality to boot. We finished her session with this great shot of ALL her sports things. I've taken her picture her entire life--really. thank you!
